My second Illinois

#1 Post by Squash61 » Thu Oct 19, 2017 1:26 pm

Well, I guess I have an Illinois collection now. Here’s my second one. Beau Brummel two toned case, 19J movemnt.
I guess I’ll learn more about it when Fred’s book gets here. Unfortunately it has a bad balance, so I’ll have to deal with that.

Looks to be in pretty good shape cosmetically.

Another great "Beau Brummell" acquisition, Wayne! The two-tone version is also hard to find, and yours looks like it has a very nice case and dial.

Be warned: that model can be addictive! (But you may already suspect that, since this is your second one. Are you going for more variants now?)

Someone is in trouble... now you have 2 fantastic Beaus! You have a great eye and now the bug has bitten. These are VERY addicting and collecting is incredibly fun. Keep up the hunt and congrats on another fine catch!

Forget it... you are done. Don't even try to escape the Illinois clutches now.
Just give in, fighting is futile.
I gave up long ago.

The Trophy is a lovely watch. I've got a wgf and ygf, and both are lovely. A good size, wears really well. And yep, Greg right, 5th is beyond the point of saving I'm afraid.
