have the Hippocampus on the back of the case? Ive seen some for sale with nothing, some with a nice kind of embossed raised logo and some with a like cheap stamped on logo on the back of the case. Does it matter?
You are right there are differences. Omega made a lot of seamaster watches over the years with different movements and different cases. It does matter to some extent and personal preference comes into play.. from what I have seen many of the ones with the nice raised logo are front loaders (one piece case with a bezel that snaps on). You have to know how to take the movement out or you can do damage. These come with the classic 55X 56X and possibly 75X movement. The earlier bumper seamaster with the 354 can have nothing at all on the case back or maybe just seamaster and waterproof. The later seamasters can be found with inferior movements like the 1011 and probably have worse cases.
