What Swiss movement is this ?

#1 Post by prospex » Fri Mar 15, 2019 5:32 am

Can someone please tell me what movement is this ? It says made in switzerland in it and it's in a no-name watch that appears to be 1930s-1940s...

It only has 1 jewel visible in the photo. It has sub-seconds at 9 o''clock. No other markings.

These types of watches can be difficult to ID. I was thinking roskopf or Medana at first glance but wasn't able to confirm at all. Sometimes under the dial will be a hallmark to assist in the process of identifying. There are numerous manufactures who made similar watches which makes it a challenge when they are no maker mark on bridge side. Maybe someone else can ID

Have done further digging and the watch might be 1930s... Don't think that it's older than that.

There are no other markings anywhere on the watch except for the Made in Switzerland. :(
