Elgin 887 movement and Dial

#1 Post by Findingtime » Tue Jan 03, 2017 11:43 am

Is this for a Dunbar and re-finished incorrectly or is it for a different model?

I believe the movement is an 887.

It's correct.

Elgin released the "Lord Elgin Dunbar" and later released the "Elgin Dunbar" with a Swiss movement with lower jewel count.

You have the later.

I've also seen a Dunbar with a 770 movement and 23 Jewels on the dial. That model was 2231. Joel
