Gruen Curvex Style 280 / 330

I have a Gruen Curvex Style 280 Movement 330 that doesn’t work and has been sitting in a case for the past 15 years.

it doesn't work.

I would like to know if I should try to have it repaired and where to go or should I try and find another movement for it.

Thanks
Ronald

Hi Ronald,

a good serviced movement will cost you probably $200 at ebay, a service might come slightly less. That really depends why your movement does not run. If it just needs a cleaning service with lubrication and no spare parts, you will probably have to spend $100.

Don't know which area you are living, I could only recommend you someone here in Germany, but there are for sure others here who could give you a hint for local service.

You could contact Timeticker over at the vgforum. I'm sure he'd would be willing took into it.
