WTB 1937 BB Crystal Catalog or re-print/copy

#1 Post by veritas123 » Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:22 am

Wanted a reference copy of 1937 BB Crystal Catalog . It doesn't have to be perfect, just readable.

If you have one for sale or are willing to copy yours, please send me a PM with the details.

Thank you

Kurt, don't think I have the 1937 BB catalog but would need to know what it looks like or would it have the year printed on it? I do have the following catalogs:
G&S:catalog #48, #55, #60, #65, #100, #200 and the modern one as well as several supplement sheets that were probably covered in the later issues.
Paulson:"New Style Fancy Crystals" dated 8-40 and looks to be a photo copy of 7 pages.
Federal:Pre 40's catalog and supplement pages from 1943, catalog #8M and supplement from 1969.
BB:1952 catalog, catalog #39, #40 and one from the late 80's for Seiko and Citizen with supplement from 1990.
American PerFit:Clock Glass Catalog, catalog "B", #9 with supplement A, #11 with supplement sheets 1951, 52, 53, 54, 56, 58, 59, 60, 61 and 63.
Electroglass:catalog #70 with several supplement pages and the page for Assortment LED-1.
SUC-Rocket:Five different catalogs and a stack of supplement pages from 1955 to 1975.
Longines:factory book that includes Wittnuaer and LeCoultre. List case # with the crystal and crown for that case.
I also have a 22 page conversion supplement list from BB that shows the conversion or corresponding crystal for BB-Federal-American PerFit. This is very handy. I may have a few others as well as the complete master case card file system from Bulova that was used by the supply houses. The master list for Seiko and Citizen as well. It would be nice if some of this information could be posted here as a sticky for everyone to use. It would make finding the correct crystals that everyone needs a bit easier. I would be willing to loan my material out if someone knows how to copy and post it. Anyway let me know if any of these would be of use to you and I will see if I can copy it and get it to you if I don't have a duplicate.

The 1937 BB Catalog would have the dated printed on the cover just as you see it on your 1952 Catalog.
If memory serves me the cover is red.

Thank you for your offer on the others , but I have all of those plus many others.

There's one out there with my name on it, I'm sure.

Kurt, somewhere in storage I have a huge stack of other catalogs. I hope the silverfish haven't eaten them up as I have not seen them in over 10 years. They came with a load of crystals I got out of north Georgia. The guy had been buying out watchmakers and shops for years and had a extended large work van full. When I say full I thought I was going to have to leave some but we made them all fit just barely. I will have to get in there and dig around for them one day soon. I have a custom cabinet that was from a supply house that is 6 ft tall and about 4 ft wide that is full of GS crystals, about 60-70 of the tall GS style cabinets with GS, SUC, Rocket, etc... and about 10-15, 5-6 ft stacks of the wide glass crystal cabinets that are full. Then I have boxes and bags that are not sorted. I will keep a look out for the catalog and if I run across one its yours. Will keep you posted.
