Solid gold Seckron

#1 Post by coronado » Wed Sep 13, 2017 1:19 pm

This one slipped under the radar and found a happy home with one of our forum members.

Cataloged only in gold fill, these are very rare in solid gold. I only know of 2 or 3 others.

I saw that and was wondering what it would sell for... I was thinking $2000 or more. It got a little more than half way there and I'd say that was a steal.

Congrats!

Extra cool, since this doctors watch was owned by a doctor. Nice get, Mark!

There were 9 total Seckron's made in solid gold. 4 of these and 5 of the newer versions, now I have one of each. See attached notes for Seckron's.

Super rare watch. My bid was closer to $10,000. When I got it for $1,200, I was in disbelief, as a gold filled one in nice condition will go for $800-1200.

The one I purchased had a solid gold buckle and alligator band. Super cool.

Here are some better photos. Feels good to be back, was in Wyoming and had a great time watching the Eclipse.
