Vintage Model of Apr. 23rd 2012 - Drake

Another swish art deco piece from the late 1930s is the Drake. I think I am not the only one who likes this model and I am counting on Tom and the others when it comes to show the missing variants ;)

Hamilton Drake
catalogued 1934-1937
10K yellow or white gold filled case
17-jewel 987-series movement
Dial options:
- 18K applied gold numbers (most common)
- black enemal numeral dial
- luminous numeral dial
Measures:
26mm x 40mm, 16mm strap
Catalog prices:
- $40.00 for the AGN versions
- $37.50 for the luminous and black enemal numeral dials

Markus, You most certainly are not alone in your high opinion of the Drake. I feel that it is a very underrated watch, perhaps because it's not rare nor solid gold. I think that it's one of the best examples of Art Deco watches that Hamilton produced and it's a large watch compared to most others of this era. Here's my WGF Drake.
FYI, the first photo; the AGN dial is actually for a Putnam ;)

Drakes are awesome. Larger than just about every other Hamilton model of its time.
