CLD & Piping Rock

#1 Post by Nookster » Sat Aug 06, 2022 7:28 am

First part is for Pat H who is a big CLD fan. Looks lie the Brandon was too popular and they could not keep up.

"No Lip Please." For those who can't open the back of the later model Piping Rock, here is how you do it, straight from the factory.

Thanks Mark!

Of the cld's the Brandon is probably the one with the largest production numbers out there.

Interesting sidebar, the Brandon was the only cld to have the 980 movement in it.

The other 14 either had the; 747, 748, 753 or 754, movements in them.

It is mentioned in the Lancaster Speaking article that the new Brandon would have nicer lugs. Does anyone have both the old and new Brandon to compare the lugs?

I think the first year Brandon had lugs that could rotate a little and after that they were fixed. Is that what it means?
